
The combat encounter remix is out now on Nexus Mods. It's definitely a significant change to Devil May Cry 5 that will pose a fun new challenge for committed demon-slayers looking to up their game.

Players will also be able to change the difficulty level too, so if they want to experience the mod but don't want to worry too much about getting annihilated by waves of enemies, the option will be available. Be warned, however, as The Hitchhiker claims that bumping the number of enemies up as high as it can go will be a meaty task for hardware not equipped to handle it.

The Devil May Cry 5 mod is also incredibly customizable, with sliders dictating how much damage enemies will deliver compared to how much they take and the number of enemies that will spawn in an area. Entering combat arenas now sees overwhelming crowds of once thwartable enemies appear, forcing the player to utilize their arsenal of high-powered moves to manage the hordes.

Showing off the creation through both an update video on the mod and several trailers for its release, the modders reveal that the addition makes for a far more chaotic Devil May Cryexperience than before.

Penguin, created the mode with one purpose in mind: ramping up the number of enemies that spawn in any given area. The modders in question, who go by The Hitchhiker and Dr. RELATED: Devil May Cry 5 Will Support Ray Tracing on Xbox Series X But Not Series S However, some evidently thought that the game wasn't difficult enough, with a pair of modders switching out the Son of Sparda difficulty for a chaotic custom mode called Legendary Dark Knights. Of course, challenge was a big part of the franchise's roots, and Devil May Cry 5definitely didn't skimp out on trying to replicate it in the sequel.

Opting to resurrect the series' original style and stray away from Ninja Theory's controversial reboot that debuted back in 2011, the canonical fifth entry in the saga saw Dante, Nero, Vergil, and a number of other franchise staples return for yet another outing. Releasing last year to a lot of acclaim, Devil May Cry 5 has been seen by many as a return to form for the demon-killing action franchise.
